After twenty years of providing care, one theme has remained consistent — clients want to remain at home for as long as they safely can while minimizing resources to do so. Working in a variety of clinical settings: acute care, subacute and acute rehabilitation settings, has lead me to spend the last seventeen years of my career in the home health setting. At FirstStep Rehab, our dedication to patient care has lead us to provide an innovative model of care using Medicare Part B and many other insurance partnerships to cover physical therapy at home. With the recent and ongoing changes with health insurance, it IS part of FirstStep Rehab’s mission to provide patient-oriented services in the place that is most important to you; your home.

FirstStep Rehab’s mission is to provide cost effective, minimally interruptive, innovative, community-based programs that enable our diverse clients to live at home for as long as possible. We look to enable and enhance the quality of life for clients as they age, successfully in a place they call home, by maintaining their health, well-being, independence, and participation in the community via education. We also aim to establish and modify personalized evidenced-based interdisciplinary therapeutic care plans.
Services We Provide:
Physical Therapy: Facilitating improvement in ambulation (walking), balance, flexibility, and strength in order to enhance mobility.
Occupational Therapy: Education and hands-on instruction to restore independence with activities of daily living including: personal hygiene, activity modifications/adaptive equipment, and safety training.
